This was a Buy Out situation where one of the long time O/O at FedEx $old all of his runs & equipment. We $old current owner 2006 $/A 9200i to replace this truck as it was just running 200-300 mile (round trip) dedicated run nightly. Just pulled off the road Friday last week. I"m sure he kept very good records, b/c his maintenance was VERY GOOD! ALL THESE FEDEX GUYS KEEP THEIR STUFF EXTREMELY WELL MAINTAINED!!! HE SAID ALL HE DID WAS CHANGED THE OIL RELIGIOUSLY EVERY 15K MILE$, RAN OVERHEAD & $ET VALVE$ EVERY 150K, KEPT IT GREA$ED/NORMAL PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE & NEVER HAULED ANY MAJOR WEIGHT!!! PULLED LIGHT WEIGHT RELATIVELY SHORT DISTANCES FOR ENTIRE LIFE! My father $old him this truck NEW when he worked at MHC KW 12 YR$ AGO!!! Truck really never went OVER THE ROAD so ALL MAINTENANCE DONE RIGHT HERE AT HOME!!!
I know it hasn"t had to have any major engine, but virtually NO blowby. Mechanic who"s been handling maintenance for last 6 months said that it was a VERY $OLID TRUCK (PERFECT FARMER/GRAIN TRUCK!!!) & USED ABOUT A 1/2-1 GALLON OF OIL EVERY 2 WEEKS (3-4K MILE$).
I $OLD THE $I$TER TRUCK (SEE FEEDBACK BELOW), WITH WAY MORE "BLOWBY" THAN THIS ONE, WITH 1.450,000 MILLION LAST $EPTEMEBER. I CALLED TO TELL HIM ABOUT THIS ONE. HE $AID HE"S BEEN RUNNING THE HECK OUT OF IT SINCE HE GOT IT IN AUGUST 2015. WHEN BUYING IT, ORIGINALLY $AID HE WAS PROBABLY GONNA GO AHEAD & BUILD IT BEFORE HE PUT IT ON THE ROAD, BUT JUST HASN"T HAD TO YET!!

Obviously, going to have to rebuild at some point, but can buy a CAT GOLD REBUILD KIT w/a year parts warranty for $5,000 & put in for $2,500 & new head for $4K & you"ve got a full rebuild & still only got UNDER $45K in BIG RIDE KW!!! THAT BEATS $160K FOR A NEW GLIDER KIT!!! Then when you get ready to $ell it, as long as you maintain it & keep it nice, it"ll still be worth $15-20K, so you"re driving it for $8-$10 per year over 3 years!!! $eriously doubt buyer will $ell after 3 yrs, b/c to nice a truck to $ell it an have to spend a bunch of $$$ to replace it with a truck that"s probably not as nice, unless buying NEW of course!!!
ALL of these FedEx trucks we get from these guys are so clean & nice b/c of maintenance & light weight that I hardly ever whole$ale them, b/c they still got so much life left in them. Since it"s never hauled any weight to speak of & with the BIG CAT, 1,850 torque trans this thing hasn"t run but 1,400-1,500 rpms it"s entire life. It didn"t run much over 68-70 mph, b/c the key to making $$$ for these FedEx O/Os is to keep fuel milage at 6 mpg, b/c of how they have their fuel deal set up with FedEx!!! Also drive train & suspension haven"t had near the normal WEAR & TEAR on them b/c hauling doubles, so no actual weight sitting on the rear of the truck itself!!!
THIS TRUCK"S GOING TO MAKE $OMEONE $OME $$$. Had Cam replaced in 2015, "overhead" run" a few months ago & everything "good"! Had slight miss, so we put 2 (1 & 5) new injectors in & "running like a top"! Needed new "King Pins & Bushings" so went ahead & spent $1,500 on front end & alignment.
