I bought this a few years ago out of a dealership in chicago to clean up a car farm, now the job is done, ready to sell it. During the past couple years Ive had several things done to it including:
Complete new rear brakes, new hydraulic fluid, new longer and larger cable, new aggressive rear tires, spent $5,000 having new GM injectors installed, and very recently new fuel filter.
I only used the truck roughly 20k miles over a short time and have over 30 grand invested, my price is firm.
Service engine light recently came on but the truck is running perfect. Scanned it, codes are P0540- Intake air heater A circuit, and P0381- Glow plug/heater indicator circuit. The truck was used daily until the last several months of just sitting so I assume these issues came along from not being used . My last haul was last week with a 3/4 ton van over 100 miles with no problems. There are still a handful of things that should be done, winch is a little jerky at times, areas needing greased etc.
It has around 239,000 miles, the 6.6 duramax runs quiet, smooth and strong, no smoke ever. The allison transmission shifts and works perfectly. The cab is pretty well optioned with power windows, locks and mirrors (mirrors have taken a few hits, roughed up). Air ride seat (air system removed prior to my ownership, seat requires air from an external source to lift the seat but it holds air fine), cruise control, and exhaust brake.
Drivers seat and door pad are roughed up from the previous owner but interior is pretty good. The drivers front fender was broke from a tire blowout, sheet metal on the backside screwed in to hold it together, signs of body work showing (see pictures). All gauges and accessories work except the factory CD player(radio works fine) and windshield washer needs the little pump replaced.
The bed is a steel 21ft with wheel lift, but light bar removed. A couple of cross bars have rot above the rear tires, but mostly surface rust. Ive painted cars before so I could have doctored it up like most sellers do to cover flaws but chose to show the truck as is with nothing hidden so you know 100% what you"re getting. I never used the wheel lift but bumped the controls a time or two and they seem to work fine. The bed functions all work properly with the exception of the rear slide being a little slow like a valve needs work. It can still be operated at normal speed with certain handling of the levers. Slow seeping from one lift cylinder and left rear control valves but no major leaks or problems, the truck is ready to work.
