To the best of my knowledge, this truck was ordered as an express van, and dealer/factory arranged to have sleeper installed. Not a homemade job! You can stand up in sleeper to get dressed, has more storage then my semi truck. Bunk folds up/in so people can use as seat. Has overhead storage area. More storage under bunk. DOT legal sleeper!
Really, more room then my Volvo semi!
Is a one ton 3500, single rear wheels.
Truck has a Duramax 6.6 just like the Silverado, and the Chevy heavy duty electronic controlled tranny, non Allison.
Around 265,000 miles miles as I drive daily. Most Duramax will get 300-500k miles. Burns no oil, shows no major issues. I am out of trucking, I had this as a back up for my semi. Oil was just changed a few weeks ago.
Engine has a check engine light that comes on sometimes. I added a fuel rail over pressure blocker plate to fix another issue. The kit came with a wire harness to add to keep the code from flagging the check engine light. Common issue on this engine, but no biggie. Just have to take time to splice in small wire harness and code won"t come up anymore.
Driver"s inside door handle comes off, aka arm rest. Can still close door fine. I have some self tapping screws in it.
Has sliding 5th wheel hitch, gooseneck ball, 2 receiver and balls in rear. Also has a pintail hitch for the receiver.
I added an on deck fuel tank plumbed in on top of flatbed, now total of 70 gals of fuel you can roll all day! It is held in place with a 2 strap. Has spots to bolt down.
Fuel milage depends on what you are pulling. 10-12 if not too much windage on the tow.
All tires have less then 10k miles with an alignment.
Oil done every 10k.
Had a valid DOT inspection, out of date now because of non use.
Side lights on sleeper are out, they are decoration. Also clearance lights on top of sleeper. Its the bulbs, have to take apart from inside. Not hard, just takes some time to do it right and switch to LEDs.
My progressive insurance was about half my pick up truck rate. They thought van could haul less, so less cost.
We pulled GVW near 33k sometimes, but tried to stay under 26k hauls.
Headache rack.
Cobra CB radio. Needs new antenna.
LED strobe light bar with traffic advisor.
6 pack mini 12v fridge.
Wired for Sirius, just add your head unit.
2 batts. Can add 3rd for extra sleeper power. I run a 12v marine low draw fan at night and leave parking lights on, never an issue starting.
Stakes in flat bed.
Driver seat from some other car, works, but a lil rough.
Normal minor dings/dents and scratches for a 10 year old work truck. Minor rust spots as was bought up north. A/C works great, but fan does not come on highest setting. Passenger mirror needs duct tape to keep mirror glass from moving around at speed.
Clean FL title in hand!
Of course truck is as-is where-is with no warranties or guarantees.
