The truck is powered by a Cummins Diesel engine and has a six speed manual transmission. It does not require a CDL.
I just had the boom reconditioned at the Altec Service Center in St. Joseph, MO. The entire knuckle assembly is brand new. The upper boom is completely refinished with a new gel coat and looks brand new! Altec also installed the Boltron cover to prevent wear to the gel coat surface.
Earlier this year, I had the rear brakes completely replaced including new rotors.
This truck drives and handles flawlessly. If you are looking for a great addition to your tree care business, this is it!

I forgot to mention that the one item that doesn"t work is the air conditioning. My mechanic quoted me around $1000 to replace to AC compressor.
