2007 Freightliner VULCAN V30 16 Ton Wrecker. NO LIENS, We have clean and clear title. 1. A few weeks ago we drained and re-filled the hydraulic tank. After that it appears that the system must now have air in it. The wheel lift in and out, the recovery boom in and out both do not want to work. The other hydraulic functions also seem very weak. Their is a small leak at the hose fitting for the under reach extension. The hydraulic problem could also be pump or valve body related, We do not have hydraulic gauges so we do not know the pressures.
2. The rear square tube that goes across the rear of the truck and supports and mounts the tool box/body is bent and the rubber mounting feet for the tool box/body also need to be replaced.
3. The inside of the rear left tool box, that houses the control levers for the wrecker has a little damage on the bottom or floor area of the box. Not sure what caused this, it was like that when we received the truck. Maybe a blow out from a rear tire?? or from whatever caused the damage to line 2 above.
4. Needs 2 wire rope winch cables. They are both aged and damaged.
We have spoken with a wrecker dealer"s service department about repairing these issues. They are not close to us or the truck would already be there. We are considering selling the truck as-is for less than we originally wanted. And the new owner would need to repair it at their own expense. This is not a fire sale and we are NOT going out of business. Please make any reasonable offers by phone or message through eBay.
