2007 Western Star 4900 Car carrier with a 2008 Cottrell C 12 High Rail Trailer. 9-10 Car capacity. 48 Sleeper, pw/pl, ac, pre-emission 14 liter Detroit Series 60 with eaton fuller 13 speed. 953,475 miles and counting. 48 sleeper.
Engine was rebuilt at freightliner at roughly 730k miles. New tranny, clutch and pto at 875k roughly. New drive wheels with good rubber, steers are 60%. Headrack and trailer sandblasted and painted in January 2016. (was red). rear decks have strap conversion. Lots of new steel, totally rebuilt tail section with new posts in top rear deck and bottom front deck. Total for steel and welding around $8k.
The bad: truck leaks about 1 gallon of oil over 8k miles, electric back up pto is intermittent, trailer main rails were curbed on both sides from previous owner, but were repaired and are holding up good. Probably needs 4 trailer tires within 20k or so. Some leaky hydraulics (not too bad) Maybe some other minor things that I cant think of (nothing major).
Overall a good looking/driving truck that is making money.
