2008 Chevy C5500 tilt-flatbed tow truck with 191,741 miles (will change slightly). Duramax diesel engine, runs strong. 21 foot bed, tag pictured with details. Tow on back as pictured does have some slop and one set pen needs replaced, but functional as is and was used as is.
Truck runs and drives and operates correctly. Tires in excellent condition, very little use.
Problems that have been brought to our attention:2 speed PTO box leaking some oil, but works. Owner says it has always had a loud whine and was not aware of leak. We recommend repair of leak as soon as possible. It drips when in operation.Drivers seat torn as pictured and widow operators broke out of panels on both sides, but they do operate windows.Fender on both sides cracked as pictured, but still secure.Reflector gone out of one mirror and mirror is cracked as pictured passenger side. Drivers side mirror housing top broke as pictured - all still functional.Seat air compressor not working and drivers filled seat bladder with hand pump. Seat stays aired up, but must be manually pumped.Service light on, green emissions light on, parking brake light on with even with brake disengaged.Some front grill damage as pictured from being scraped.Simulators scuffedCab blower stopped working. This was working when we moved truck to auction center, but the last person that looked at the truck fiddled with a relay switch and it stopped.Front brake growls some. Owner said in his opinion it would smooth out. The truck has not been used actively for about 6 months now and business closed about a month ago.Left turn signal not working.Back tow bar has some sway. Owner says was used as is with no problems and considered normal.other normal wear and tear
Let me be frank. This truck comes from a tow company that kept the equipment serviced, but was operated by employees who at times are not respectful with equipment like the owner would be. This is a great truck for someone who needs a functional truck that looks nice, but is not going to be entered into a parade. The last person who looked at this truck wanted to fix every last detail and offered 5K less than the buy it now price after inspecting. While the customer was super nice and I respect the decision I just do not want this to happen again so I have added more pictures and relayed what complaints have been made.
