This has been the best truck we have ever had. We ran it up to 515,000 miles in our trucking company and then transferred it to our AG company where it now has 590,384. This is a 2 wheel drive Cummins Ram 5500 Laramie that pulled a 53 foot aluminum trailer for the first part of its life and became semi retired after that pulling a smaller 30 foot open trailer when needed.
The only known defects to me besides lots of miles is the rear end and the bed. The rear end either has a worn u-joint or a ring and pinion issue...the rear of the truck vibrates on a pull. I drove it here today and its is a noticeable vibration right from the start and disappears when you let up on the accelerator. The box has been banged up over the years and is a bit on the rough side. We put a new transmission in at 520,000 and have done nothing to the engine. This will make someone a terrific truck. We replaced it with an almost twin, again, from our trucking company. There is no warranty expressed or implied...you are buying it AS-IS. Thank you for viewing our auction.
