We are an Ambulance Service and also own a Fleet Service Center managing our fleet of nearly 100 units and many others. We also have a remounting program where we buy good quality used ambulances for the purposes of remounting the box to a new chassis after it is refurbished and painted. Sometimes the unit is just to good to remount making it the only reason its up for sale.
This unit comes from a City which used only for back up. I talked to the maintenance dept. from which the unit came from. The mechanics advised their strict maint schedule and its look confirms it. They confirmed it had two issues mgrs elected not to fix being its replacement was being deployed. Water pump and intermittent light issue. We trailered it home, test drove before and after our repairs.
Upon arrival, an extensive overview. Fixed the two issues mentioned above. Additional repairs and or maintenance was;Steering gear boxTurned 4 rotors2 brake padsAlignmentRotated Tires all in good shapeNew BeltsAfterwards, Mechanic test drove the unit which performed as expected. AC is cold and the motor performed as expected.Rear Camera works as picture shows.
While this unit has lights and some decals that may not apply to you, both can be corrected easily. I didn"t go over all the exterior color but it appears all of it is vinyl and can be stripped or covered up with a wrap for your Logo needs.
For those who haven"t stripped vinyl. Using a power washer stronger than the usual with a good wide tip can peel the vinyl. Practice on something and then move on to the unit from which it should remove it all. We have good luck with that process regularly. This unit was inspected and repaired as if it was to be used in our line up.Only for the colors on the unit, we could put this in our line up. And trust me, all of our units meet the strictest standards. We just don"t have diesels in our inventory.YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.
