*UPDATE - This ambulance has a new engine. It was installed by a suburban Chicago Ford Dealership January 2, 2013 at 47,231. In the service records, it was not clear the engine was replaced until I ran a Carfax. I called the dealership to confirm - you will see in the attached carfax the engine was replaced on that date. I am Selling a 2008 Ford E-450 Medtec Type III Super Duty Ambulance running on a massive 6.0 Liter Power Stroke DIESEL Engine with only 59,XXX miles on the body. The engine was replaced by a local Ford Dealer here in Chicago at 47K - so the new engine has 12,XXX miles - I have the service records and carfax to prove it.
This vehicle has recently passed all safety inspections in Illinois and has been Triple K Certified since new.
Mechanically, engine works perfect and the transmission shifts smooth just as it should. Tires and brakes changed within the last 6 months, tires have more than 90% tread life. To say the least, it has been meticulously maintained by a Suburban Chicago Fire Department. State law mandates it needs to be in optimum condition to be fit for savings lives over the road - so mechanically and cosmetically its in PERFECT WORKING ORDER.
As you see in the photos, this Ambulance has many features which are all in solid working condition; Interior lights, exterior lights/strobes, sirens, radio, oxygen system, inverter for power supply, power windows, locks, mirrors,keyless entry, working gurney, and last but not least, a block heater.
