This 2008 Nissan UD 3300/ Elgin Crosswind Street Sweeper is a good running and working street sweeper that was just retired from a local municipaity.
Only 62K miles, it"s powered by the reliable Nissan UD 3300 diesel and an an auto trans. The sweeper motor is a John Deere with 6367 HRS and also works well. Features include dual controls, AC, CD stereo, blind spot camera, power windows, power locks, and air brakes.
The body is straight, but there is a dent in the front bumper. (see photo) The body has the usual chips and scratches that an eight year old working vehicle will get, but nothing out of the ordinary. There are also some glue stains on the doors from removal of the city decals.
Inside, everything looks good and seems to work well with the exception of the fan for the heater/AC. The AM/FM CD stereo is an aftermarket Sony unit and does what it should. The blind spot camera is quite handy and offers several views of the working areas.
Mechanically it starts right up and idles nicely. The brakes are strong, the transmission shifts well and it can be driven at freeway speeds.
A nice sweeper that is ready to go to work for you. Just not in California. Low Reserve!
