I am selling my 2009 KW 660. Took driver out of this truck, and I can"t drive two. This truck does not have DEF. It has a Cat C-15 with the ARD head, that everyone has heard so much about. The fact is that the problems with this motor are much less than those associated with the others. When a problem occurs with the regen, its the ARD head. A part ($800) that I have changed on the side of the road with basic wrenches and a set of metric allan wrenches. It has been changed on this truck twice in 401000 miles. If you replace the spark plug every quarter, it greatly extends the life of the unit. They plug up with carbon, and the fuel does not come out in a mist to fire through the DPF. Most basic system, that is CARB compliant, I have seen. Heard the horror stories of guys that have a problem and costs them multiple thousands with Cummins motors. Truck has an ultra-shift tranny that has had the X-Y shifter, the harness, the inertia brake, and clutch replaced. Everyone thinks they want a manual tranny, till you drive one of these, and don"t have to kick off the cruise in a climb, it does it for you. It will make you a spoiled driver, especially in traffic. I asked the dealer where I bought the trucks to tell me what they would give me for them, and the number was insulting. They are in the business to make money and I understand, but WOW!!! They then turn around and make 10 grand off of somebody else after detail and prep.
I will set the reserve at what I owe, and will be 6 grand below what they would list for.
I also have a silver T660, just like this one, that I drive, with 834000 miles. I"ll make a package deal of both for a good price. I did not say FREE!
