2010 chevy express box van, THE GOOD: don"t let the high mileage fool you, (you read the mileage correctly, that"s 414k miles. so please don"t ask me what the mileage is.. also keep in mind, commercial trucks are designed with high miles in mind. this isn"t a ford escort.) i purchased this from the company i worked for, in Jackson, MS, for the purpose of moving to Portland. (2,600 miles) it"s served its purpose, now i have no use for it.. it was loaded with a motorcycle, a full tool box weighing around 1,000 lbs, and towing a 1969 chevy c10 pickup, through very mountainous terrain, and it gave me zero issues. the truck was has lived it"s entire hauling auto body parts, and body shop supplies, so it hasn"t really lived a hard life as far as hauling, and it"s never towed previous to my trip. (i installed the hitch myself) the motor is a 6.0 liter gas burner engine code L96 (vvt, flex fuel, iron block, with aluminum square port L92/LS3 heads, for those that speak the lingo) transmission is a 6L90 which is the heavy duty 6 speed automatic. the transmission has been painted, indicating it"s been replaced with a re manufactured, unit, or rebuilt somewhere along the way, and this was not a small mom and pop business, so i can assure, there have been no cheap patch job repairs done. it would make an excellent vehicle for a carpenter, or even a good motorcycle hauler. cold ac/hot heat. i haven"t had time to remove the lettering yet. clear title in hand
THE BAD: the paint is peeling on the hood, and it"s been hit on the passenger side, so the door has a big dent, but the door opens and shuts as it should, and the lower exterior corner of the box has minor damage, none of this effects the functionality. two of the rear tires are pretty worn, and should be replaced soon the check engine light is on, i don"t have a code scanner, and since it runs well, has good oil pressure, doesn"t run hot, i haven"t bothered to check it.
i will post more detailed pictures tuesday evening.
i might entertain trades on SOME pre 1975 vehicles. especially 4x4"s, datsun 240z, or older muscle cars. i"m not scared of a project, but not a full build, as i don"t have the space or time. but selling outright is best, since i just made a major move..
