2012 Freightliner Coronado with 244 wheelbase, 18 speed, 336 rears, 500hp 12.7 Series 60 Detroit
There are about $15,000.00 worth of extras on this truck
This is a Fitzgerald Glider kit. Look up Fitzgerald Glider on youtube and you will see how these trucks are built. Look them up on truckpaper and you will see what the inside looks like. They are all the same.
Just passed PA state inspection on 12/1/2015
New Michelin super singles and Alcoa rims 6000 miles ago.
Truck has a diesel fired bunk heated to reduce idle time.
All lights changed and rewired over to better looking lights that can be bought on ebay or any chrome shop for about $10 a piece. The original lights were $40-$60 each and only available at Freightliner. They were switched over for cost reasons and look better and are easier to find.
Stainless parts added/upgraded- bug shield, lower grill and fender guards, rear center panel.
Truck was greased every 3000 to 5000 miles by me. (not by some kid at the truck stop that misses half the fittings) Every moving part on this truck is tight like it should be!
Head was relaced at 87000 miles
Fan clutch was replaced at 125000 miles
Water pump replaced at 150000 miles
Alternator replaced at 210000 miles
Batteries are 5 months old.
All transmission, and rear end oils new at 200000 miles (full synthetic)
OPS oil filter system with Shell Rotella 5w40 full synthetic and full synthetic Lucas additive started at 100000 miles. Engine was broke in with non synthetic Rotella 15w40 first 7000 miles. I ran Lucas brand oil non-synthetic until 100000 miles.
Michilin steer tires were replaced at 175000 miles with same.
I will consider trades for a clean older Pete, Kenworth or International 1999 or older in excellent shapewith the same 12.7 detroit engine or an N14 Cummins.
My last 2 IFTA reports showed over 8 miles per gallon which I can show you.I got that fuel mileage by being a slow poke and never using the cruise control (the cruise does work I just dont use it). That proves that I did not drive this truck hard or beat on it.
Reason for sale- New laws on hours of service. If you have to run electronic logs this truck would be perfect for you. I am getting an older truck to avoid that. My loss is your gain.

“Lots of chrome added and bunk heater. New Michelin super singles and rims. PTO and 3 inch roper pump for tanker loading. 1 minor ding on stainless fender and 1 minor ding on driver side exhaust shield. Other than that this truck is perfect outside. Drivers seat has some cracks and inside is really nice. I do not smoke so the truck does not smell like an ashtray.I did all maintenance myself so it was done right.Greased every 3000-5000 miles with red Lucas grease look at the kingpin pictures to see proof.Truck just passed PA state inspection on 12/1/2015.Every moving part is tight.” |
