We got the truck in a few weeks ago. The engine ran and sounded good, but kept shutting off after a few seconds because it was showing no oil pressure.
It was diagnosed as a failed oil pump. We pulled the oil pan and found metal shavings. We pulled a few of the rod bearings out and found them to be bad. The engine will need new rod bearings and possibly oil pump and crankshaft redone.
I’m not comfortable with my in-house mechanic to do this level of work and would rather sell it as is. Will need to be towed. I know of a good towing company at an affordable price if you are local.
