I am selling my 2006 Chevy Silverado 3500 dumping stake bed. It is a 4 wheel drive and has the 6.0 gas engine. We purchased it in 2014 with 99,950 miles. We used it in our landscape business. We never used as a plow or salt truck though it was driven sometimes in the winter. It has the typical rust expected in this type truck. Cab corners, floor, rockers all have rust as seen in the pictures.
In 2017 we put a used Knapheide stake bed on (the previous bed was light duty). We replaced the cross members with heavy gauge C channel. We also put a new rear dump hinge on. The stake sides are removable. We put a new floor in at the same time. The hoist is electric/hydraulic.
It has approximately 125,000 miles on it. The odometer shows 16,475 miles. We are not sure what happened to the odometer. In December of 2016 I went to fuel up and it only showed 70 miles on the odometer. We always record the mileage on each gas receipt so that is how I know the mileage. Before the odometer did what it did, the last gas receipt had the mileage 108,299
It has 4 wheel drive. Tires were new last fall and have about 1000 miles on them. The bed is 12" long and the truck has a 13,000 GVWR. It has the 6.0 gas engine with a 4 speed automatic transmission
The truck has a heavy duty hitch built in that we had made, though we never towed over a 7000 pound trailer.2019- replaced brake line, right inner tie rod, left front cv axle, center support bearing2018 wires/plugs, O2 sensor, wheel hub replaced, exhaust manifold replaced
This truck is far from perfect and has some issues but runs great and drives drives great. 4 wheel drive works as it should.
The West Coast mirrors we removed by a careless driver and were replaced with factory mirrors. The rear fuel tank pump/sending unit is bad so only the front tank works. Airbag light comes on sometimes now.The headliner is saggingThe A/C doesn"t work
Had carfax done in 2014 . Only thing other than maintenance recorded was a minor left rear collision with no airbags deployed in 2007.
