On the road working 8 car enclosed truck
Hi. I"ve ran this truck as an owner-operator for almost 3 years. It"s recently had an extensive rebuild. It got new brakes all the way around with 6 new drums and several new slack adjusters and brake cans. In Frame Overhaul on the 12.7L Detroit Series 60 last December with 46k on it so far. I took as many precautions as I could for it to be an excellent rebuild.
-I put in a rebuilt computer tuned to 550 hp / 1850? torque. The truck as I had bought it was 430/470hp. It"s a totally different driving experience now... much less fatigue and many of the hills along my trip disappeared.
-replaced injectors, air compressor, oil pump, bull gear, water pump, bigger turbo with waste-gate, rebuilt the head, new starter
-exhaust brake, cruise, a/c, power passenger window, Garmin 760LMT navigation, MP3/SD Stereo
-I replaced the original speedometer with one that has a built in trip odometer and reset the odometer to 0 to reflect miles on the engine rebuild. The engine computer should still reflect the chassis miles as does the navigation unit that I"ll leave with the truck. Current miles are about 50,000 on the engine and 1,300,000 on the chassis
    -heavy build with 40k rears
    -on board 7,500w diesel generator
-espar d4 cab heater with electric thermostat
-plug in oil and coolant heaters
    -10,000w inverter
    -lots of led work lights
    -winch and extra work boxes
-new steers and drives, trailer tires are about 40%? All are virgin Continental position specific tires.
-bigger fuel tanks... 1,500 mile range easy. 150"s wouldn"t fit so I had an aluminum tank shot shorten them. They are about 140 L side and 135 gallons right side. ...one of my best upgrades, really came in handy last winter during extended road closures at the mountain passes.
-on board weight gauge for the drive tires
-nice, bright led headlamps and mostly led lights all over... less replacements needed.
    - the truck runs about 1500 rpm at about 63mph
    -2 spares
If I were to keep this truck my upgrade / maintenance list would be as follows.
    -replace the curtains
    -paint
-replace seats as they are torn
-adjust the shift linkage... 7/8 shift is annoying.
-It"s reliable and I got spoiled by all the room in the double bunk cab. I think it does pretty good fuel mileage wise, about 5.9x average running 70 everywhere. I got 7 running 60 It does take a little longer than some other trucks to load the top, but I believe that is offset by versatility. The design allows me to load taller vehicles that would normally pose a challenge for enclosed trucks. If you are unfamiliar with this design I"ll be happy to show you how it works. One person can run the truck with a little training but with two people the benefits of this truck can really shine. Because of the condition of the curtains a lot of dust can get inside. For that reason I use plastic covers to keep my customers" cars clean if running in dusty areas or on winter roads. These keep the vehicles cleaner than another hard side trailer I used to have where the cars still got quite dusty.
If I can answer any questions or you need any more pictures / information please call / text 307-363-0197 or email me through ebay. This truck will be for sale locally as well so I may end the auction early. Also, as of now I have work booked through the first week of October. I"d like to keep running the truck until then but can probably make other arrangements for my commitments if the buyer wants to run right away. We can work this out to the buyer"s needs. I would consider delivering the truck to most areas for a minimal fee. This would need to be discusses in advance. I am asking for $1,000 deposit within 24 hours of auction close by paypal. The remainder will be handled when we exchange truck for title, but within 1 week. At my discretion I may extend that period if agreed ahead of time. In short I"ll work with a serious and realistic buyer as best as I can. Thanks for looking everyone.

“both seats torn (may have these replaced by the time this sells)curtains will need to be replaced soon... I've been telling myself that for the last 4 years so they are still working, but very aged looking and cumbersome. The right side steer tire blew out just after I bought the truck. It damaged right side of the cab and there is no longer a step on the right. I never fixed this. There are a lot of little things but the truck has always been dependable for me in long haul use. I strongly advise any serious buyers to visit in person to look at or drive the truck. If you are in the Western States I may even be passing through and could possibly meet near your town.”
