This is a 1991 Freightliner FLD 112. Cat 3176 7LG engine, 9 speed transmission. 1,030,000 miles. Steer tires are approx 6-8/32 tread, drives have less than 100 miles on recaps. Fresh service just completed. Brake shoes are brand new as well as new drums on the drives. New gear lube installed in diffs, synthetic oil in trans, fresh oil change with new filters (oil, water, fuel). New muffler and mounting. New coolant overflow tank. All wheel seals are good. All lights work as they should. 12k front axle, 20k rears.
Truck runs and drives very well. No noises or shakes (the doors vibrate a little, I suppose the weather seals are in need of replacement). Truck doesn"t pull or wonder. Clutch is strong, clutch brake works good. Transmission shifts effortlessly, and there is full engagement in all gears (does NOT feel like gear/gears have been worn down). Splitter works good, and range gears operate as they should with no grinding. There was no metal on the drain plugs in either diff, nor the transmission. No major oil leaks (normal seepage / wetness as usual, but nothing that wouldn"t be expected). Does not smoke or burn oil. Oil did not present any foreign fluids at the time of service (no antifreeze in oil, etc). Frame is very solid, and has almost no rust . Cab presents only minimal corrosion as well. 5th wheel latches and unhooks good. There is no driveline vibration at hiway speeds, nor is there any shakes in the steering wheel.
I purchased the truck and went through completely with the intention of putting it to work. The work that I had lined up fell through, so I now have no use for this truck.
The truck is not without its faults - and I will try to be as specific as I can. The drivers window crank needs to be replaced. Passenger seat is worn / torn. Air compressor works, but will need replacement eventually (its loud). The air horns need to be cleaned out (they attempt to blow, but fail to make sound or are quite muffled). The pyrometer does not work. I believe the fuel gauge works, but I have not filled the tanks / verified the full operation of the fuel gauge. The throttle pedal was broken, as of this moment there is a temporary throttle pedal - aka vice grips. The AM/FM stereo has been removed. There is a 2 way radio pictured, but it is not included. There is no mattress in the sleeper. The side air fairings rattle / are loose / have some damage /scrapes. There are several dings / cracks in the hood. The freightliner logo on the hood is not attached (I do have it and it is included). Will need wiper blades. Fiberglass flap over drivers fuel cap is missing. Only has one mud flap. Unsure of rated horse power, as the decal is gone. The drive tires are all at least 99% tread, but are older casings, and they have developed some slight weather cracking - nothing like gaping holes or cracks - but it is worth mention. Air suspension bags have weather checks - they don"t leak, but will need attention. The paint is faded, and shows its age.
Most of the problems are cosmetic. When I went through the truck, I made all the repairs necessary for the truck to be functional, not pretty. So if you"re looking for a work truck, here"s your girl. If you want a show truck - well, Truck Country is in Appleton my friend!

I"ve had several people ask Can I drive it to _ __ __?. I have minimal road time on this truck. If it was me, personally, I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere - I went through this truck end to end and fixed what was needed to make it ready to be put in service. BUT, as with ANY vehicle, it"s not a matter of IF things will break, it"s a matter of WHEN. Long story short, this truck is for sale as-is.
