This is a very nice looking American LaFrance / Century 75" aerial Fire Truck. The Goods are = Mostly all the chrome is still very nice looking, the paint is very nice, the interior is very nice,
the under chassis is clean, and the best part, everything attached to it works as it should when it was last ran. The sirens, horns and lights worked perfect. The ladder extends all the way out and up. This fire truck has spent the last several years attending parades and charity events.
The Bads are = It has a Detriot 6V 92 Engine that runs,,, except it has at least one cylinder that is starting to leak coolant in the oil. Prior to parking there were about 2500.00 worth of repairs
completed on this vehicle in an attempt to correct the engine issue. After Diagnostic"s were performed it was then determined either it had some bad o-rings on a cylinder or cylinder sleeve possibly seeping coolant in the engine.
Side note-- There is a Deltronics 60"" message board mounted on the right rear side. I was told that it worked also, I just don"t know how to operate it.
The tires appear to be like new and in great shape.
Now the really bad = If the Fire Truck does not sell at auction end, I will be stripping it down and selling the items off of it and the rolling chassis will be sold to the highest bidder. Weather it be an individual or the scrap yard it will not be relisted anywhere. I set the reserve low in hopes of it to be sold as I"m really not wanting to scrap out a great piece of history. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message
