Up for auction is a 50th anniversary edition 1953 F-800 Big Job fire engine (pumper). This truck is in overall good condition given its age. The body is generally rust free, engine runs and transmission shifts correctly. Included with this truck is the original wooden ladder, 2-15 lbs. CO2 fire extinguishers, 1- 15 lbs. fire extinguisher, 2- sections 4x10" hard suction hose, 4- sections 5 hard suction hose, 1- 2.5 hard suction hose, 1- 4x 5 double female adapter, 1- 4x2 double female adapter, 6- sections 2.5 hose, 6- sections 1.5 hose, 2- 12" pike poles, 4- structural firefighting turnout coats, 1- pick head axe and 1- first aid kit (1960"s). Also included are some of the original user manual, Gulf fuel cards and tax exempt cards from 1958. This truck was used as a parade vehicle for several years and was last used at a pump-in approximately seven years ago. The pump has not been run since and we are unsure of its current operational condition. The carburetor was recently rebuild however may need some adjusting. The oil and filter was also recently changes. The truck idles well but pops a little when driven. A new battery was also put in the truck last year. This truck was the original fire truck for the fire department and also includes the original dedication plaque. The tires appear to be in good condition with no dry rot noted. Brakes to not seem to work. We believe the brake booster may need replaced as we did bleed the system several times however loosed pedal after a couple of minutes. The brake lines appear to be in good condition with no visible leaks. To our knowledge there is only a small coolant leak possibly coming from the water pump gasket.
