Bought this truck with intentions of making necessary repairs and putting it into service, but just don"t have the time. Have since decided to sell it "as is" instead. Most of the repair issues needed are regarding the bucket system and not the truck itself.
The good:
Engine runs strong with no problems that I am aware of.
The body is in great shape for the age.
The boxes are in great shape except for the floors of the back two.
The engine for the lift was recently serviced. It starts and runs well.
The bucket lift operates and goes up and down, however, there seems to be a problem with the in & out cylinder. (See below.)
Most of the tires are in good condition.
Could be a reliable utility work truck if the bucket were to be removed.
The bad:
Brake pedal is soft. Probably needs new master cylinder.
There is a leak in the hydraulic system. It seems to be in the in & out cylinder for the boom or, it could be a leak in a hose or fitting.
The bucket leveling system is not working.
There is a short in the wiring harness for the Onan engine that is causing a battery drain.
Although the Onan engine for the lift starts and runs, the generator does not work.
