1996 CHEVROLET HD 3500 TOW TRUCK / WRECKER WHEEL LIFT TRUCK WITH 8,000 POUND RAMSEY WINCH AND EXTENDABLE BOOM
Long story, short. This truck needs some work. I purchased it from a friend that blew up the 6.5 turbo diesel, and a friend of his tried to butcher a 6.0 gas motor into it. I do mean butcher. Good story now. I removed the butchered dash and dash harness and have already installed another dash with good gas engine wiring harness. Engine has been replaced with a 5.7 Vortec with 85k on it. Everything is in and bolted up, but I"m tired of it, lost interest, don"t want to play no more. Has rebuilt Jasper 4L80E Automatic transmission. It still needs a fuel pump, I have the tank, lines and straps. Needs a driveshaft, they chunked the original. Radiator and shroud for a HD truck. Hydralic pump needs to be fitted to 5.7 motor, I"m sure it has sat long enough to need a new injection spider, so I have a new one you can have with it. Exhaust needs to be installed and I"m sure there are other things that are needed. This truck worked well before engine problems, comes complete with receivers, spoons, inside controls, even tow lights behind the seat. Boom cylinders were rebuilt. Decent rubber. Look at this truck, it"s not a beaten fleet truck, it"s a rust free south Texas truck that was well maintained and cared for, just look you can see it.
