You are bidding on a 1993 Ford E-350 Gas 7.5 Motor withabout 177,910 Miles on it. This is a retired ENG News / Media Broadcast Van /Live Truck with a Wolf Coach Body. This van has installed a 55’ Mast that works and holds air this mast was replaced when purchased by a Wolf Coach service shop in Orlando about 4 years ago. The Mast is self-lubricated and maintenance free. The top side of the mast has the Pan/Tilt that can be used for many different aspects such as Cameras, Flood Lights, Antenna Positioning or its original use for a dish for broadcasting and receiving.
The Brakes in the rear where recently replaced with drums and pads. The van was originally purchased in PA so has some northern rust on it but it does not leak and is still solid. The Tires will need to be replaced because of dry rot. Batteries are older and will need to be replaced as well. The Left side door, the right-side rear door and the hood will need the pull cables replaced due to the cold/warm temperature change the plastic ends broke off both the side and the rear doors can still be opened by pulling the cables.
The van ran and drove when parked now will not start we are assuming it is a fuel pump because when the key is in the on position the fuel pump for the Generator will still work and supply fuel to the on-board generator, however the van itself will not start but will start with eather.
As shown in the pictures there is some spots on the van that have rust on them, they were there when I purchased the van and have not gotten worse or caused any major issues with the van itself.
The added platform on the top is great for walking around and doing work from the top of the van. I added a large PVC pipe with a screw on cap to be able to store antennas inside when it was moving. The ladder on the back will hold a lot of weight up to 350# that we know of at least.
Devices attached inside the van will operate on many different power modes you can power the components using outside power from another source using External 1 and External 2 inputs, or you can get power from theon-board Onan Commercial 6500 Generator that has only 1,669 Hours on it. During The Hurricanes I used this Generator to power my Entire 3 Bedroom House Including Lights, Fans, TV, Cable Modem, Fridge, Microwave, Coffee Maker,Several Computers and Several Radios and I had no issues. I would occasionally runa cord to the neighbors as well so they could utilize the power too.
The Inside of the van is Dry has no leaks and has ICE cold AC and Hot Heat in both the Front and Rear cabins. The Generator will power everything inside and outside of the van. We removed the cables from the mast due to the protective plastic cracking around the cable system and just never got to replace it. The van has been sitting for about 5-6 months and occasionally I will fire up the generator to keep it going and circulate the fuel. The black and green is just from not being washed with a good washing it will cleanup nice.
The cable when re-attached will go from inside the van to the top of the mast when lowered or extended. And has several options ran such as multiple standard power lines, tv coax, 2 VHF/HF/UHF antenna cables, Audio And Video Cables and multiple control cables. There is also a patch panel that gives the ability to connect multiple items from outside of the van to inside and vice versa. There are multiple VHF / UHF Antennas around the van that lead inside the cabin for other communication needs. The large antenna on the from is what we believe to have been some sort of Marine Antenna.
This was a project that I purchased for our local REACT Group we had plans on making it into a Mobile Communications Van however due to every ones work schedule we didn"t have the time to finish the project I am moving out of state and cannot take the van with me. The Title is a Clean Florida Title. If your organization or department is in need of a News Van / Live Truck / Mobile Command Center /Emergency Communications Vehicle / Ham Radio / Neat Toy this van is what you need… any questions please call or text 386 801 9517
