1985 Ford F-350 tow truck, with an updated cab. I"ve owned this truck for the past 5 years, and used it almost everyday. It runs very good, and is very reliable. 90% of this truck has been rebuilt. THE TRUCK IS READY TO MAKE MONEY. It has a lot of life left.
It is a 1985, with an updated cab. It looks like a 1993-1994. 7.5l gas engine, with a 4 spd manual transmission. The mileage is unknown. Manual windows & locks. Im not 100% sure of the bed measurements, but I think its a 17.5. We towed F250s, suburbans, and e250 cargo vans. This truck will get the job done.
The Good:Truck runs very good, and the rollback bed works great! Most of the truck has been rebuilt. I will try to list all the major parts that we replaced, but I"m sure I"m forgetting a few. We"ve replaced the radiator, water pump, alternator, power steering pump, brake master cylinder, starter, fuel pump, front shocks, new clutch. Replaced all the brakes, and both front brake calipers. We replaced the transmission a few years ago, with another used transmission. We replaced most of the hydraulic hoses for the bed. Replaced/repacked the seals on the main hydraulic cylinder for the bed. The bed does not leak any hydraulic oil.
The Bad:The truck needs a front end alignment (1-2 steering bushings will need to be replaced to get a front alignment). The A/C does not work. The fuel gauge does not work. Horn doesn"t work. truck needs minor TLC. Heater core is leaking (we bypassed the heater core, but it is 15minute fix). The truck has some rust on the bottom of the cab & rocker panel. The frame and suspension is rust free. The interior is original, and can use some TLC
Summary: This is a very good truck. It was our first truck for our tow business. It did us very good. It"s ready to get somebody else started! It"s a great running flatbed, ready to make money, for a cheap price.
