I"ve got a 1988 Ford F-700 with a Holmes Wrecker all hydraulic twin line winches, a 2 stage under lift with a 50k tow capacity this truck is in great shape for its age with only 72k original miles even the ac is ice cold new ac compressor 2 months ago along with new clutch and throw out bearing and all fluids changed. I drove this truck to Pennsylvania so I can attest to it being a rock solid drivetrain.. It has a 5 speed manual with two speed rear end and the 2 speed motor was replaced with a new Eaton last year.. We bought this truck to be used as a backup to a city account we have and we are selling so we can upgrade to a larger truck. this truck is truly in good shape and turn key ready to work.. It has a 429 FE Series big block gas engine.. It has an air horn and yes its an air brake truck so no fooling with hydraulic gurgling brakes!! Dot inspection current.. Now for the issues I know about as it is a 29 year old truck it does have a slight oil leak around oil pan but again nothing bad as it is just a seep no drips it has been this way since I bought it.. And it does have a slight exhaust leak on driver side... there is slight rust near driver rocker and some undercarriage rust but no ROT anywhere .. Other than that this truck truly is solid everything works right down to the instrument panel lights every last one of them even the pto light functions as it should.. The fast idle at rear of bed is functional most body lights are led the winch cables are about a year old and honestly have probably only been used 10 times since replacement as this truck has never been used as a daily driver we use it on average about once or twice a week just enough to keep it limber!! Ford adjusted the brakes around 2k ago.. Also fyi this truck is very strong but it"s also geared LOW top speed is 55-60 mph
