I am selling this truck I just recently purchased because we have gone another way. I bought it with plans of taking the flat bed off and putting a fifth wheel hitch on it in order to haul a 4-car trailer. We ended up buying a seven car trailer which would require a full blown semi truck instead. So we never put this into service.
The truck runs well. I bought it in California and drove it to Arizona. It got 11.4 mpg on the drive. I was very impressed with the gas mileage and the way it drove.
The best part about it is the 7.3 Liter Diesel with a 6 speed manual transmission. This is the best set up Ford ever produced. I have a low reserve on it because we need the money to finish our car hauling set up. I also have a 39 sleeper cab that can go with it for an extra $600. With only 260,000 miles this truck still has a lot of life left on it.
The other great thing about the F650 is the GVW...26,000 pounds. This is the largest truck you can drive without a commercial driver"s license.
You will be very happy with this truck, especially the 7.3 liter motor. Ford really did it right with that motor.
