I drove truck for 19years, owner operator for 18years. now im semi retired. so im selling my truck. I bougt this truck in october of 2013 at Freightliner of Phoenix AZ, due to California air regulation. working in Los Angeles area for JB HUNT rail division in South Gate for 5years with them til end of march this year. 2008 freighliner columbia metalic blue 778944 mi.
This truck was a owner operator since new, not a company truck. This was a Swift Transportation owner operator truck when it was new. so it was never abused like company trucks.
This truck is in perfect condition. No problem with DPF what so ever. regen light will go off after 20mi of highway driving. Engine is series 60 Detroit Diesel with 13speed Eaton transmission. powerful on the hill with heavy load. and fuel efficient. I averaged 6.8mpg driving local in LA area. considering jb hunt loads are in a heavy side.
Front tires have about 75% left in them and drive tires are michelin recaps have 40 to 50% left in them. im not a recap tire person, but when i got this truck it came with michelin recaps and i was surprised how durable and long it lasted. lasted as same as new tires. so i"ve been using michelin recap ever since. plus i get them with jb hunt for $210. a tire. 10 aluminum wheels
Fuel tanks 140gallon each
AC condensor was replaced 2years ago, coolant holding tank was replaced with new coolant 2month ago. dpf Doser(injector) was replaced last year, i dont know the name of this part. a flex pipe looking part was replaced 2years ago. part of dpf system. was expensive $900 for the pipe. both belts and tensioner were replaced last year 2 front shocks replaced last year
Engine runs very smooth and powerful. can see some oil along the oil pan,which is common, but i don"t add oil at all. I dont add any other fluids either power steering etc..
Transmission shifts great with no slipping at clutch. differential gear box oil both changed with synthetic gear oil
Exterior in good shape, paint came off on both sides of side air deflectors on top. and few scatches here and there. Interior in good shape. everything works.
It also has a train horn but needs a new switch at the dash board.
old tire in the back is not included, it"ll go on my rv as a spare tire.
clean title, I have in hand. This truck runs great, don"t buy a clunker and end up spending lots of money fixing it.
$21,999 or best offer. I will consider any reasonable offer. trucks been seating since 3/30/17 in Fontana Ca. I don"t want to leave the truck not running too long.
