1997 Freightliner FL 70 5.9 Cummins 12 valve, six speed with air brakes. I live in Nevada and I have a class B CDL, your state may vary. I am a master truck mechanic and I built this truck. It started its life as a 26,000 lbs. box truck. The rear cab is not a sleeper but it could be used as one. I use it to store camping supplies and atv accessories storage. The rear cab came off of a Union Pacific man cab truck. The truck has two storage boxes that I use to store fire wood etc. The rear flatbed came off of a flatbed truck and it is designed to carry two atv’s. Truck is set up to tow a 5th wheel or a bumper pull trailer. I made this truck because I did not want to spend 50K on a new pickup truck to go camping. Selling because my kids are getting older and have grown out of it.
This truck is mechanically top notch but It was hand built and painted so it does not have a perfect paint job or factory made look . If you’re looking for a nice pulling truck that is affordable and has a bullet proof engine and drive line this may be the truck for you. Engine does not burn oil and has great oil pressure. The transmission and rear axle has synthetic oil, new rear axle tires, and good rubber up front. Has new alternator, belts, starter, brakes and good clutch and new air conditioner compressor. Ice cold air. Park it in your drive way because it has zero leaks.
The odometer just stopped working so I put in a hour meter. The odometer has 177K on it and the hour meter has 160 hours. Oil and filters just changed. The tachometer jumps around at times and the heater/ac controls in the dash could use some work. Truck came from San Jose CA and it has been mine for 7 years in NV, it has zero rust.
