1997 Freightliner FL70 18" box truck with the desirable 5.9 Cummins diesel and Allison 4 speed Automatic transmission, both in excellent condition with no known defects and only 126K miles on the package and the truck itself. Oil change was done less than 3,000 miles ago, transmission filter and fluid was done at about 75K mi.
Our business purchased this truck for a small 2 month job covering about 2500 miles in total. it was originally a FedEx delivery vehicle and judging from the service it has received it was company maintained. When purchased we changed fuel and air filters, alternator belt, and did a full safety and mechanical inspection and did some minor service and replaced all exterior lighting with new LED units. lift gate operates very well with a lift capacity of 2500#. in over 1000 lifts it never needed fluid added and has some recent replacement hoses. it has some minor rust that does not affect its capacity or function. The roll-up back door is in perfect working order and rolls up and down smoothly with no issue.
Preparing for sale we painted the frame, lift gate, cab steps, lubed most grease fittings and inspected all operating systems
Tires are full tread recaps in good condition with a very little bit of dry cracking and have plenty of service left. PA inspection through June of 2018
This is a heavy duty box truck with a GVW of 29,000# and air brakes with recent service and new soft lines up front.
Air conditioning works well and has new compressor and accumulator
the windshield washer pump does not function and the automatic air parking brake feature was disabled due to an electrical issue. this means that the manual air operated parking brake must be applied either in the neutral or park position rather than an automatic air parking brake in the park position. other than that I am not aware of any defects or issues.
Air brakes are in excellent working order and no known defects and obvious recent service with new shoes and some other parts
Interior is in decent shape with some wear and tear on the drivers seat but nothing bad. the driver"s seat is an air ride but the switch leaks air slowly.
Drives straight and true, exhaust is in good shape and all turbo components have been recently inspected and are in good shape.
Great local/mid distance delivery truck with no service needed to put you to work.
Will deliver almost anywhere for $1 per mile (one way)
