Very Rare 4WD 55ft Hi-Ranger Terex Insulated Bucket Truck TL50M w/ Material Handler White Exterior / Gray Interior VIN: 1FVDCXCS07HY74637 260 HP Diesel-Allison Automatic Transmission Inventory ID: Y74637 Vehicle Description Up for your consideration is a very clean and hard to find Terex Utilities Hi-Ranger TL50M Telescoping Insulated Aerial Bucket Truck. What makes this truck so unique is not only the 55ft working height, but the fact that this unit is 4WD which means when the weather gets bad, this truck will make it to the jobsite. Additionally this truck being a telescoping aerial device, it is much shorter and nimble. It will turn as sharp if not sharper than a F-450/550 Truck. At just 24.5ft in length, you can get this truck just about anywhere you might need.
Terex Utilities, the maker of Hi-Ranger, was founded back in 1945. They first developed a ground breaking Digger Derek and had many industry first in the 50s and 60s. The 70s brought the addition of Aerial Trucks while the 80s brought on a whole new line of auger trucks and equipment. Today sales span the globe in over 50 countries. But keep in mind, this is just one division of Terex, which builds mining equipment, road building equipment, and even owns the Genie lift brand. Terex is the one the largest construction, utility, and general equipment manufactures in the world.
This truck belonged to small Electric Coop in Eastern New Mexico that handles power and infrastructure in about a 150 miles radius area. They cover 6 counties and service Eastern New Mexico and West Texas. Most of this area is very rural and you can easily travel 50 miles without seeing any other cars on the road at times. The truck was purchased new from Terex back in 2007 was just replaced with a new unit at the end of 2014. We spent a few weeks going over the truck making everything look new and repairing small items. The truck looks great and functions just like it should. It has a new set tires all the way around and we applied a heavy duty coating to the bed and tailboard similar to a truck bed liner. I have personally driven the truck over 100 miles and while it doesn"t ride like a half ton pickup, it performs just fine and will drive down the road at 70+mph. We have touched up the white paint on the truck and I can tell you the truck has not been wrecked or damaged in any way.
Model TL50M has a working height of 54.5ft and a base height of 50ft. The M in the model number is a material handler that will lift 1,000lbs and can be operated in the bucket on on the ground. We have had a few larger bucket trucks in the past and everyone was requesting a material handler. Combined with the working height and 4WD, this is a hard truck to find!
Powering this truck is a 6.4L MBE900 OM 906LA Turbo Diesel that cranks out 260HP and 700ft lbs or torque. This is NON-EMISSION motor which means longer life and less headaches. It is mated to a 5-Speed Allison Automatic Transmission that makes driving effortless. Any Detroit Diesel service center in the country can easily service this truck and most dealers have a wide arrange of parts on hand. This truck has been maintained at the Electric Coops garage and sent the local Freightliner for major service or repair. There have been no majors repairs on this truck according to the dealers records, they have seen the truck about once a year for random repairs.
Please keep in mind this is a used truck and far from perfect. However it is very clean and has been given a clean bill of health. A new model will run close to $200,000 so I feel we have the truck priced right. Please feel free call with questions or concerns.
