Here is a very nice old GMC Brigadier 9500 , Detroit 871, 13 speed, semi truck, I am selling for a gentleman which bought two of these truck from a local farmer and is selling this one, which is a tandem but he wanted the single axle and is keeping it. This truck was stored inside a barn most of its farm life unless it was being used. It was originally owned by General Motors in Anderson Indiana and was used as a shuttle between factories in town. It is very good shape and runs and drives very well. It starts right up and transmission shifts very good. It has only 158,XXX miles on it which is very low for a semi truck. Interior is in nice shape. It has a sliding 5th wheel and a PTO. You could use this as a semi or convert it to a dump truck. This would be a great farm semi which is what it was used for and hauled Beans and corn.
Drive train looks in very good shape with very good tread on the tires. Engine, transmission and axles look good and clean. Brakes look good from what I can see.
I added pictures of the vin tag with weight ratings.
I would say you could drive this home with no problem.
Please if you are concerned with the condition of this truck come see it for your self or send a mechanic to look at it for you.
I am not a big truck expert so please ask questions and I will get back with you.
