Listing is for the Side Puller only, although DTU and truck will be listed separately.
This is a brand new 35,000 lb. heavy duty side puller by Metro Tow Trucks from Ontario Canada. It is currently temporarily installed on a truck along with a 35,000 lb. DTU for demonstration purposes. It has not been painted and comes in the factory black primer. Permanent installation will require a minimum of 30 of clear frame to mount as is or as little as 20 if the tensioner was repositioned. The mounting plates are not permanently welded, so that the unit can accommodate any width frame configuration. The center of the sheave heads are approximately 60 above the top of the frame rails. The 35,000 lb. winch comes equipped with 150 ft. of 3/4 stainless steel wire rope, air actuated free-spool and air tensioner. It does not come with controls, but they are available separately depending on the application. It is currently plumbed into additional valves and controls on the DTU. The side puller comes with a heavy duty D Ring on each side that can be pinned into different height positions as desired. The stiff legs are equipped with flipper type feet for varying ground conditions and have an ear for attaching a clevis to get a good low pull point. This is a very heavy duty unit with an estimated shipping weight around 3,200 pounds. Metro also makes a 20,000 lb. side puller that has the same basic design, just on a little smaller scale.
