Up for sale is the complete Tow Truck Wrecker Bed, (not the truck) as shown in the attached pictures. It is an Ernest Holmes model 460, twin boom, twin hoist wrecker, rated at 12,000 lbs. It is believed to be from the 70"s, but don"t know for sure. The bed measures 7"2 wide, 7"8 long and is 23 tall at the tallest point. The boom length is 7"3. The total height of the wrecker from the bed is 60. The center of the wheel well from the front of the bed is 58. I bought this unit for the truck, and have lubricated and operated the wrecker to test it. At an idle, I drug my Jeep across a field with all tires locked up on each hoist, one at a time to keep the cables tight. Mechanically, everything works well. The lights are not wired up, and you can see that some of them need to be replaced. The turn signals and brake lights do work. It is a cool old wrecker, but I have other plans for the truck. Included in the sale, as shown in the pictures, is the PTO shaft, sprocket, and carrier bearing from under the truck. Bed sells without reserve.
