For sale is a 1993, all aluminum body, Chevy P30 step-van, Ice Cream Truck, with large capacity cold plate freezer. This truck is ready to go make you some money while you have fun doing it! When I bought this truck four years ago, it had a blown engine and overall, was pretty run down. The reason it caught my eye was the large capacity cold plate freezer! In case anyone reading this ad is not familiar with how these freezers work, the freezer gets plugged-in to any 110 (standard) power outlet when the truck is not in use. An attached, freon-charged electrical compressor with a high-efficiency adjustable thermostat keeps the freezer at a desired temperature so inventory is preserved right in the freezer, instead of constantly having to load and unload it between runs. When un-plugged, the freezer can keep inventory items frozen for approx. 12-14 hours depending on the thermostat setting currently in use. This means that when the truck is in use, the truck can be turned off with no power running, with no inverter draining the battery, and no expensive, bulky, and noisy gas generator mounted to the exterior of the truck! These types of freezers cost up to $3000 or more, USED, and are very easy to maintain. The odometer does not work, so mileage is an estimate. I had a powerful Chevy small-block 6 cylinder Vortec engine installed in the truck in 2011. Also new to the mechanicals are a: rebuilt alternator, new fuel-pump, fuel-filter, radiator and power steering belts. Oil change and transmission service were done April 10, 2016. The thermostat on the freezer compressor has also been upgraded. The truck was repainted, and wrapped with custom graphics that were not trademarked and are general enough to work regardless of business name. In addition to the cold plate freezer, the truck is outfitted with a large sliding service window, with optional smaller service window, a legal jump seat for a helper, a removable and customizable plexiglass menu-board, exterior menu light for night events and a composite cover-panel, to cover the service window for security when the truck is not in use. The truck also has a working music box with eight traditional ice cream truck jingles as well as a brass bell. This truck is big enough for two or three people to work in and yet, easy enough to drive and maneuver at events and parks. There is plenty of room on top of the freezer to add any combination of: soft-serve machine, drink coolers, and/or sno-cone machine without blocking the product access doors. The current setup of this truck is the easiest and least expensive way to have and run an ice cream business. At events, there is virtually no setup. When an event has allowed me to sell drinks, I just brought ice-filled coolers full of drinks and have made bonus money!
All records of the maintenance and repairs that have been performed since I have owned the truck are available. This truck is being sold as is and is located in the Daytona Beach, Florida area. Buyer must arrange for local pick up.
