Here’s a nicely equipped box truck that is ready to drive cross country! As the pictures and video illustrate, this truck is ready to get to work! To begin with, this truck features the proven, fuel-efficient DT466E turbo diesel engine from International. These engines have been around for decades and have an excellent record for longevity, ease of maintenance, and inexpensive ownership costs. Although we do not have the paperwork for the engine, it shows all the signs of an engine that has been rebuilt, e.g.: the engine block, covers, etc. are very clean, all the seals and gaskets look new (including the head and pan gaskets), and the engine oil is very clean (even after running over 100 miles!). Further, the engine sounds very good. It cranks right up, it has a steady idle and there are no abnormal noises or smoke. Needless to say, the engine delivers abundant power to get this truck up to highway speeds in no time!
An excellent feature of this truck is the lack of temperamental, and expensive, emission systems that later models came with! There are NO regeneration cycles to deal with, NO particulate filters, NO DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) to deal with. What you have here is a proven powertrain with none of those hassles! Moving on to the rest of the powertrain, all the gears on the automatic overdrive transmission are engaging properly, pulling strong, and shifting smoothly. The truck rides straight; the suspension is noticeably smooth and snug, the braking is strong, and the overall ride is commendable.
As can be expected on a pre-owned truck, there are some details and flaws. Known details are: the windshield is chipped and cracked, the cab floor vinyl has some tears on it, there are nicks, scrapes, and such on the paint and body, and normal wear on the bed floor and walls. Details aside, the body on this truck is also above par. The cab lines are straight, the paint is shiny, and the doors and hood open/close effortlessly. As can be expected, the lift on the 24’ Morgan bed is working properly. Take a look at the video to see this truck in action!
