Here"s a crew cab flatbed that has very low miles and sports a superb powertrain! As the pictures and video show, this flatbed has all the signs of a truck that has been lightly used and well maintained!
An excellent feature of this dump truck is the engine! It comes equipped with a DT466E Turbo Diesel engine! These engines are highly regarded for the longevity, easy maintenance, and inexpensive repairs. Furthermore, this truck is not equipped with the temperamental and expensive exhaust systems that later models come with. There are NO particulate filters, NO regeneration cycles, NO diesel exhaust fluid... none of that junk! Just a simple, proven, reliable powerhouse!
The powertrain on this truck is in solid working order. The engine cranks right up, it has a very steady idle, and it delivers abundant power to quickly get this truck up to highway speeds. All the gears on the automatic transmission engage properly, they pull strong, and shift smoothly. The truck drives straight, the braking is even, the suspension feels noticeably snug and the truck cruises comfortably on the highway (governed at 65mph).
The physical condition of the truck is commendable. The bodylines are straight, all the doors open and close effortlessly, and the cab"s original paint is shiny all around. The interior has a straight and crack-free dashboard, the windshield is flawless, and the floor vinyl is in good shape. All the gauges are operable, the AC blows remarkably cold, and all its exterior lighting is operable. The flatbed floor is straight and strong, and the removable sides are very easy to remove and install.
As can be expected on a pre-owned truck, there are some details and flaws. Known details are: small tears on the seats, the driver side 1/4 fender has a crack on it, there are normal nicks and scratches on the paint, and the expected dings and dents on the bed. Details aside, this truck is genuinely in outstanding condition. We have driven it out of town a couple of times, in city traffic, in highway traffic, up and down hills, you name it... the truck has performed impeccably every time! We would not hesitate to fill up both fuel tanks and drive this truck across the country at a moment"s notice!
