This truck is in working condition, and can be driven. It always fires up within a fraction of a turn. Great ride (IH air suspension) at highway speeds with low revs thanks to the 3.73 gearing. I last used it to move across the Rockies pulling a fully loaded tandem trailer. It never missed a beat. Loads of power. Thanks to the three position Jake, I seldom had to touch the brakes.
It is currently out of CVI (commercial vehicle inspection). It would likely need new rubber to pass a CVI. Personal inspection is highly recommended. If that is not practical I am happy to answer all questions.
The IH line specs that are shown in the photos represent what is in the Navistar data base regarding this unit. It does not represent an inventory of equipment. I am sure there has been changes over the past 29 years.
Restoration to show quality is not a huge jump for this truck.
The truck is located on beautiful Vancouver Island. If you plan on driving it off the island add an extra $100.00 or so to your travel budget for ferry costs. Logistical support will be provided to the buyer such as airport pickup and whatever local running around needs to be done for permits etc. Thanks and good luck to all bidders.
