Are you tired of fussing with trailers? Look no further than this one-of-a-kind beauty! This truck includes the cargo capacity of a 16 foot trailer without the added length of your trailer tongue and truck bed. How long is a 16" trailer coupled to a standard pick-up truck? Close to 40" long! This truck gives you all the luxuries of a trailer but in a small package that is close to 24" in length AND it can easily be maneuvered, reversed, and turned around with it"s short wheel base.
This truck began as an Ryder Fleet truck that was stationed in Florida. Fleet trucks are meticulously maintained and never miss a scheduled tune-up. As a plus, it never saw any salty roads in Florida. It had a short life in Ohio when a church briefly owned it and then we purchased it from the church in 2011. Since we have owned it, it has been garage kept and NEVER used in the winter. The frame shows that it has been spared the exposure to salt that most trucks in Michigan get. In 2011 we paid a local shop $5,000 to design and build the dove-tail and drop gate on the back. As you can see, it was seamlessly designed and looks like it is an original part of the truck. The gate is made from tube steel and rated for over 5,000 lbs so it can easily handle riding mowers, mini-skid steers, small cars, and mostly anything that can fit inside of the box truck. The gate is also removable.
This truck has served us very well. Isuzus are known for their low cost of ownership and we can testify that this truck needed no repairs during its life with us; it only needed routine maintenance. We did replace the transmission recently and it includes a 6 month warranty. We are selling this truck because we are transitioning our business model to include more snow removal. This means that we want every truck to be able to run a snow plow in the winter, instead of sitting in our barn like this one has for the past 5 winters. It has had an easy life!
As stated in the Seller Notes:
Time to upgrade your landscape fleet? This is the truck for you! It is work-ready and needs nothing to be placed into active service. However, it has cosmetic flaws which could be addressed if desired. Please look the pictures over carefully and ask for additional pictures if needed. Here is a list of some of the cosmetic flaws: scratches, surface rust, slash on passenger side cargo box, a few holes on roof which are temporarily patched, indentations on cargo box (see pictures). The surface rust on the dovetail needs sanding and touch-up paint. The expanded metal over the drop gate is in good shape but needs painting. Roll-up door is fully functional but will require attention in the future: replacement panels and a few bolts. There are no known mechanical issues. All grease points have been serviced regularly and filters (oil, gas, trans) have been changed at regular intervals. A/C needs a recharge and you should know that the drop gate is heavy.
I will be installing a replacement mirror on passenger side and replacement mudflaps on all 4 tires.
