Nice Kenworth cabover with rare Detroit 2 stroke 8V92 & 13 speed Eaton. New-ish fifth wheel just fitted; 8 new airbags on rear; 2 new tires on front; new stainless exhaust stack. I took off the horrible cable gear linkage & replaced it with a proper rod linkage off another truck. This was a generator truck used on the movie sets in L.A., & has done hardly any work. No rust except for the usual bit of pitting where the fifth wheel bracket was bolted to the chassis. Everything else is in exceptionally sound condition on this California truck that now resides in Central Florida. It needs a few bits & pieces - some of the marker lights need replacing - that sort of thing - and the paint is faded from a life spent in the sun. The rear tires are also dried out by the sun, but they got me from California to Central Florida when I drove it here a couple of years ago. I was intending to put this truck into commercial service, but events seem to have overtaken me, & I have too many projects on the go to give it the attention it deserves. Mechanically I am not aware of any faults. Engine & transmission are all strong. When I drove it back from L.A., the only issue I had was a leaking pinion seal on the front drive axle, due to standing for a while. A new seal and a speedy sleeve soon fixed that. I fitted a spoked wood rim steering wheel, but will include the original if you want it. Truck is located near Clermont 34714 Central Florida. I might be persuaded to deliver it for a small fee - I would happily trust it to drive anywhere.
