I bought this Sprinter 2 years ago and have used it for long distance freight transportation. It used to be a Fedex van so it is equipped with folding shelves that can be easily removed. It also comes with a rear view camera that I use all the time for parking in tight spaces! Great feature! It does not have a regular passenger seat rather a folding one. Ps. I have a regular passenger seat I bought on ebay just never installed it. (will include in the price)
The 2002 Sprinter has the best (most desired) engine they ever made. It is a in-line 5 cylinder diesel motor that will lass forever! 183,188 miles as of today.
Other pros:
- High pressure pump has been already replaced (which is a problem with 2002 Sprinters)
- Injectors checked, seals replaced
- Newer tires (about 70% life left)
- New brake pads and rotors (replaced 3 weeks ago)
Cons:- Fedex vans don"t come equipped with AC system. A rooftop AC can be installed for around $1000.
This is a great money maker if you are in logistics industry or want to get into it.
Very efficient - around 25 mpg highway and 18-20 mpg city
If you are in construction business this van will fit 16" long pieces of trim or lumber.
