98 Fuso FG, 4cyl. turbo diesel engine, 4x4, manual locking hubs, five speed manual trans, hi/lo range transfer case , exhaust brake,snorkel intake with K&N air filter, Bilstein shocks, Timbren helper springs. Truck has only 165,000 miles. Box van body is a Supreme 12 ft box with rear roll up door,hardwood floor, loading ramp as well as fold up stairs and pull out awning over door.Also has a front window and a boat hatch skylight in roof. Three underbody lock boxes, Conferr roof rack over cab, nice bucket seats in cab, propane and water tanks, Shurflo water pressure pump, sink, stove, outside shower, Novakool 12volt efficient fridge( cost $800)
It has brand new custom single wheel rims and Toyo 315/75/16 mud Terrain tires that replaced the stock duellies (cost $4200),two spare tires, front and rear 2 receiver hitch for towing and to accept a winch. The frame is in good shape, only minor surface rust.
Its reliable and mechanically sound but it can use a new set of brakes and a clutch at some point and some TLC in the rear interior. It comes with a set of new brake shoes in a box. A clutch kit can be had for $560.It passed a recent CA smog inspection and registration is paid for a full year. I had built out the rear to be double duty; part work truck, part camping vehicle so it has a full width loft bed platform at the front and a counter and over head cabinets along the right wall. There is a sink, stove and fridge built in. I had used 1/8 mahogany plywood for the ceiling and wall paneling with insulation behind that. The panels could use replacing as they have wear from the work truck time it spent. The counter could use a coat of paint
These are hard to come by, especially with the five speed trans and two speed transfer case. Low range first gear has a 66:1 crawling ratio.Truck is set up for back country camping and as a work truck for remote locations. These are a great platform for building into an overlanding vehicle and this one is already there except for a few minor tweaks. Truck is sold as is, no warranty. Also have it for sale locally and this listing may get cancelled if local buyer found.
