2000 Freightliner step van converted to use as a mobile command post or incident response platform. The vehicle has an amber/white LED light bar, LED area lights on both sides, and the interior is furnished. Interior has been completed with multiple counter / desk work areas, magnetic white board surfaces, ample storage shelving, and room for 2 19 standard width network equipment racks. LED lighting in all work areas in addition to overhead lighting in the work area. Ethernet cabling has been run to all work areas. Multiple 110 and 12v power outlets in each work area. Power outlets have USB power ports.
The van has an on board diesel 10kW generator. The van"s factory AC works. The roof has 3 additional air conditioning units installed forward / middle / rear of the work space. The front and middle units work. The rear unit does not currently work. There is a roof mounted crane for loading heavy equipment in the rear. There is also a Ricon F8100 Eclipse wheelchair lift at the rear door. The wheelchair lift extends and stows properly but does not currently raise or lower and will need additional troubleshooting.
The exterior of the van has a 4" x 8" magnetic panel on both sides of the vehicle. There is a manual awning on the passenger side of the van. The door at the rear passenger side of the van has automatic steps that extend and stow as the door is opened and closed.
This vehicle is a very economical way to add a mobile command post or incident response capability to any Agency, Department, or organization. Just add your communications equipment and markings and go!
