I bought this bus about a year ago now. My initial plan was to convert this bus into a home and travel the country, life off grid, but my life has gone into a different direction, so I"m selling it :)
EDIT: added new pictures above
Please note: the first three pictures are outdated, however, the rest of the pictures are very recent.
Also note: I am NOT a mechanic. This bus is not perfect and there are some mechanical problems, but, for the most part, it drives well. The mechanical problems listed below are NOT complete and there are probably some other small problems that I don"t know about, so please contact me before you buy or come and visit/test drive it, inspect it.
If you can get past the known issues, you"ll really love this bus. I"ve put a lot of time into this project. I"ve replaced a lot (all 6 tires, starter, alternator, etc,.) and added onto it for the inside living a bit, too, but remember, this is negotiable. Send me a message if you have any questions.
Known Issues:
Stalls at low temperatures, I think it needs a new idle air control valve(?) - once it"s driving for a little bit, it"s fine. The horn assembly is not on the steering wheel. I do have it, but it doesn"t assemble correctly. It should be a simple fix.As far as I can tell, minor transmission fluid leak. There are a few small leaks when it rains, although not many. The fuel gauge isn"t 100% accurate. I worked with it by filling up when the gauge reached about half empty, sometimes less.I think there is an engine exhaust leak, so it"s a bit loud in the cab when you put your foot on the gas pedal.
I"m sad to part with this bus, as I"ve had so many memories with it and so many happy times, but I"m hoping this bus will give someone else the same amount (or more) happiness that it gave me.
Mechanical: Diesel 6.2 engineTurbo 400 transmission, 3 speed, automatic, new valve modulator (I"m not 100% certain it"s a Turbo 400)front two tires are very new Bridgestone, back 4 are pretty good condition Goodyearrelatively new alternatorrelatively new starter and starter solenoidsome new belts and hoses under the hoodupper and lower radiator hoses are not installed, but I have them and they come with the busnew fuel injector pumpthree good batteries in the battery case / comes with two free batteries (one car better, unsure if it works and another small deep cycle) Inside Living: old bus roof hatch is gone, we installed an RV vent hatchfunctional, yet not automatic, showersingle bedtwo benches made from wood and a futon mattress cut in halftoilet in the back of the bus for compostdeskthere is a sink, but no running watercomes with an LED stripcomes with Goal Zero Yeti 400 Solar Generator inverter runs through the cab from the battery case to power speakers and charging phones, etcone speaker and stereo setup in the cababout 6 wooden shelves built The bus has been sitting for a few months. I have been starting it up every few weeks and it"s been turning over fine and it should drive off fine, but there is a chance it needs to be towed. It should run completely fine. If you"re near, you can take a look at it and possibly test drive it.
SOLD AS IS. I might be able to travel locally to show off the bus or deliver it, but ONLY locally. I did live in it for a little bit, so I do have stuff in there still, but it"s pretty much cleaned out and I just need to move out (and that shouldn"t take long at all).
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask at any time.
