As you would expect on a truck with 13K miles, the powertrain on it is in strong working order. The engine ignites right away, the idle is smooth, there are no abnormal noises, and it delivers impressive power right away. All the gears on the Allison automatic are engaging properly, pulling strong, and shifting smoothly. The truck accelerates quickly, the suspension is snug, the ride is straight, and the cab is noticeably quiet…even at highway speeds.
The cab on this truck is in remarkable condition; the bodylines are straight, the original paint is shiny and healthy, there is no rust damage (Texas truck), and all the doors open and close effortlessly. The cab’s interior can be described with one word: flawless. Everything inside is virtually new. Seats, moldings, dash, floor rubber, mats, etc. are like new. All the instrumentation is fully functional, the AC blows very cold, and the windshield has no cracks or bull’s eyes. The interior also smells good, with that factory rubbery scent to it!
As can be expected, the side loader body is also “like new”! Aesthetically, the body is very straight, the paint is healthy and shiny, there is no rust damage, and there are no holes or corrective welds on the hopper, floor, or walls. Performance-wise, this bed is in excellent shape. The packer/ejector cycles operate properly, the tailgate lifts and descends smoothly, the automated side loader is easy to use, and the tipper is lightning quick. The interior joystick control, the loader counter (917 showing), and the interior packer controls are all functioning fine. There are NO LEAKS on the hydraulic system, all the lighting is operable, and the warning systems and buzzers are also fully operable.
