This Fire Dept Brush Truck was built to the standards of NFPA, National Fire Protection Association. They control everything that pertains to fire and life safety.
It has Dana axles front and rear, heavy duty leaf springs in rear with IFS up front. The powerful 460 engine has a new Edlebrock 4 barrel on it, and it is coupled with a granny low four speed.
It was ordered special by the Hurdle Mills Fire Dept. They owned it from new until the second and present owner bought it in Apr of 2004, with 18,000 miles on it.
The truck is pictured on the Fire Dept recipe book in the photos posted here.
It has always been garage kept.
No rust on this truck ever.
The interior is all original, except for the new dash pad...and 1 exterior repaint BC of Gold decal removal from the doors.
The Fire Dept had lights mounted on the dash, so the dash pad was replaced with a new one.
Engine is a Ford 460 with Edlebrock carburetor, factory 4 speed with granny low. The 4.56 gears have been replaced with 4.11:1 front and rear. Dana 8 lug axles front and rear.It has Aftermarket AC, that blows through the dash vents.
When the new owner removed the Gold Fire Dept door decals, it left a shinier red FD emblem where the gold was, so he had it repainted all over.
