1987 peterbilt 359 extended hood sleeper truck. this Is one of 359 numbered classic trucks that peterbilt made in 1987 to commemorate the last year of the model"s production. The truck has been painted light blue as has the frame and axle housings. the tanks are painted a darker blue that can be seen in the pics. The engine is a 3406b model caterpillar 425hp with charge air cooler/air to air cooler in front of radiator. We have recently had the gaskets and o rings on the entire engine (external, not liner o rings). front cover/rear cover/valve cover gaskets/ oil pan gaskets/ air compressor gaskets etc. It has a thirteen speed fuller transmission and eaton rear ends. Tires are excellent shape with low profile 24.5 on the front and 11r24.5 on the rear on aluminum peterbilt cut wheels. The sleeper is a 63 flat top with good interior and the cab has two matching seats in great shape. truck has new exhaust and 6 chrome straight pipes. truck starts easy even after sitting a few weeks and drives good. truck is in excellent shape and a great candidate for a complete restoration with minimal effort to finish or to take and run as is.
Truck is sold as is, where is in Birmingham, AL and must be picked up by purchaser or his or her legal agent so that the bill of sale can be signed. we accept cash and certified/cashiers checks from U.S. banks. Cashiers Checks will be verified with the bank they are drawn on.
