Mechanically sound Mercedes MB 900 series with 347k miles. Just replaced head, gasket, thermostat, 1 unit pump, 1 injector and resealed the fuel system. Before we did the head we performed a leak down and the highest was about 7psi. Detroit says anything past 15psi is a failure. After we replaced the headgasket we retested and it was no greater than 4psi from the highest and lowest cylinders. While the head was off it was cleaned and received a valve job. Head and the block decks were not touched as they were perfect on every spot we checked. Truck has an allison 5 speed auto, air brakes and suspesion. It has a dump valve to get it closer to the ground. Will have a new winch cable and bridle but no other equipment unless you want to pay for it. Obviously it has a fresh fuel filter, oil filter and oil change. Tires are about 50% at best. The steers are a little better than the drives. I am getting an aluminum wheel tomorrow to match the rest of the truck. Brakes are 60% on the drives and about 40% on the steers. Also rebuilt the tilt cylinders for the bed and resealed the steering gear box. To my knowledge there are no other leaks to address at this time. The only real downfall of the truck is the paint. On the cab the paint is peeling in places and as I was taking the lettering off it was peeling. I didnt use a heat gun so maybe it will come off a little better. I can get it painted, at your expense or you can do it yourself. I wouldnt be hesitant to drive this truck anywhere as it sits.
