Hello. First, the van works and runs great. Unfortunately, the three sensors need to be replaced, as it runs fine, so... the diesel mechanic we know said that it cannot be the DPF - must be the sensors. Either way, it won"t pass CA emissions, so it needs to go to another state. Stupid California. . no smoke, runs great, a/c blows cold, PW and PDL... but we can"t keep it because a computer says it"s not running properly... OMG!
The last vehicle we sold on (you can look us up) was also a diesel and it, too, could not pass smog, so... some lucky SOB won the auction and took it to Canada... before that, Arizona (we"ve sold 2 Sprinters on eBay).
Listen, it runs fine, you can take it for a spin, it operates, functions, drives just fine. I know there are programmers that disable the computer and it will pass smog - we"re just not going to do that.
We have maintenance records from when we bought it several years ago, been serviced here at Fiesta Ford in Indio, and again, since we can"t get it to pass smog, and we just bought a new van, so this one must go. Somebody is going to get a great deal!
Thank you - we"re very transparent, we have nothing to hide, it"s a work van, but with 106k on the clock, this van has A LOT of life left... it"s presentable and works great. Enjoy, and thank you for looking! And if you see our history, it speaks for itself.
