The Truck is a WHITE GMC Tractor Veh. I.D.# 4VIXDBME2;M631605, EW 15,969# GW 80,000# Fuel Diesel. Axles 3 with sleeper. year 1990.
The Loader is a Rotobec 80 Elite with a 25 foot boom and a Rotobec 4642 Grapple. The loader has less than 25 hour use. Independent power unit is Perkins with 55 gal. hydraulic system. Maximum Main Boom Lift Capacity (less attachment) at 8 feet from center at 10 feet from ground is approximately 10,650# Completely detachable for full use of truck in approximately 5 minutes and reattachment in approximately 8 minutes.
A detachable, self-contained, heavy lift, hydraulic knuckle boom log loader. Highly mobile, this new concept in loader technology allows the installation on almost any class 5 fifth wheel truck tractor. This unit is extremely useful where the removal of loader weight would allow a much larger legal payload to be delivered. Where one well maintained tractor can do the work of two trucks used part time with the additional expense of ownership, also two truck license with two truck insurance coverage. Rear mount allows full 26" reach and about 340 degree useful work area.
The self contained loader can be removed in five minute with reattachment requiring a little additional time. Two large pins mounted on a plate attached to the rear frame of the truck with two additional safety pins in this area and two plates attaching to the fifth wheel angles allows the king pin to secure the loader to the truck.
The detachable loader with its matched truck is very adaptable to many material handling jobs. The 90,000 pound pintle hook allows the unit to tow a custom trailer with chippers feed mounted to receive 18 to 24 inch diameter wood material in tree length. A second use being towing a log pup trailer accumulating logs, on a yard for sorting and delivery, the trailer load lots (pulled by this tractor if necessary to various sawmills). A third use would be to tow a dump pup to pickup construction or homeowner debris for recycling or delivery to a dump.
This unit is very adaptable to hurricane clean up work. Loading its own towed container trailer and other large dump trailers along side the unit. Being highly and easily mobilized to any area at highway speed and being instantly available for immediate work makes this unit extremely desirable for hurricane and emergency clean up work.
The basic unit uses the famous 80 Elite Rotobec loader with 26 foot reach and 10,670 pound lift at 8 feet from center. Also the Rotobec 4642 log grapple with Rotobec 9150 rotator. The hydraulic double pump at 19.9 gallons per minute each is powered by a Perkins engine. There is a 60 gallon hydraulic storage tank with oil cooler. Well built and awaiting desirable use by knowledgeable operators.
