Tailgate ambulance ready to tailgate today...had this out at the TCU @ Ok State game just a few weeks ago. It is with mixed emotions that I am am putting the Tailgate Response Unit up for sale. This converted ambulance is the ultimate tailgate party on wheels. Built on a 1989 E350 chassis with a 7.3L Diesel motor, this vehicle runs well and has been an incredibly reliable for us. In addition to the regular trips to and from Stillwater, this vehicle has made road trips to Norman, Fayetteville and Dallas. Pull up, set up a few chairs, swing out the TV and you are ready to tailgate.
The vehicle is equipped with the following:
New tires all around
Keg system with external tap (kegs on ice - no fridge)
2400 Watt Kicker Audio System including external speakers Television
Wood floors
Cornhole
Grill
Full vehicle wrapWorking ligths and sirensPlenty of internal and external storage
Renovated all around except for the front cab area.
Speaker system includes the following: Kicker 400.4 AmplifierKicker 600.1 Amplifier2 Kicker L7 Subs (different than the ones pictured and not installed - the box shown is included but the speaker size is different) 2 Kicker Marine Speakers 3 6.5 Kicker Speakers (one missing) Head UnitTwo dry cell batteries to run the electronic system with the vehicle off
The vehicle is great - but not perfect. Below are the things that the future owner will want to know:The back door and side door do not lock properly The windshield has a crack (this crack has not expanded since we have had the vehicle)There is a bit of a trick to start the vehicle as with many older diesel vehicles...crank the motor for 5-10 seconds, stop, turn the key to on to let the glow plugs warm for 10 seconds, turn key and pump gas, she will start right upOccasionally after shifting from reverse to drive, you have to rev the motor for a second before the transmission will engageV belts do rub - this has led to the vacuum pump belt breaking twice. We replaced with a shorter belt last time and has been good for 18 months now...but still a little rub.AC has a leak somewhere in the system and requires a recharge on a regular basis if you are using it regularly.Registration is out of date (about 6 months I believe)
